 Today for reading I had to hop on Coconet, and look for a video on the know your roots. The video I choose was "Is Tiktok stealing ideas from pacific creators ? " . The reason I choose this video is because I'm always on tiktok and thought this video was pretty cool. So I hope you enjoy :)

 Today's Literacy/ Reading task was that I had to go on Dogo News and look for an article to read. I then had to pick three activities of choice and complete the using information on the article. Enjoy :)

Maths .

 Today's Maths task is solving addition problems with tenths by changing one number into a whole number . We were given a sheet of paper * on a slide * and had to fill in the missing boxes also answer the given questions .

Family Tree .

 Today's Learn Create Share task is based on ' Family ' . I had to create a family portrait not a big one but a one starting off with my mum and dads parents, then going to my mum and dad and lastly me and my siblings.  

What's important to you ?

In today's LCS task I was given three sets of questions and I had to answer them in full sentences. The topic was "Imagine you have to leave your home suddenly and you are allowed to take only a backpack with you . " These were my answers, Enjoy :) 

Weave a Basket .

 In this task I had to create a Venn diagram that compares the similarities and differences of how a basket is woven in the Niuean Culture compared with how a basket in woven in my culture. I couldn't find a video in my culture so I did a Maori one :)

Tokamotu of Tuapa .

 Today's Literacy task is based on the Niuean legend of Takamotu of Tuapa. For this task we had to watch the video given and answer the remaining questions. Here is mine :)

Maths .

Today's Maths activity is based on tessellation. We had to make our own tessellation using objects/ shapes from home. Here is mine, I made it sort of like a flower :)

 Today a special visitor entered our Room 11 call and told us amazing things about what she does and works for. Her name is Rochelle and she works for Toitoi. She told us that their is a new book that was supposed to be released but thanks to covid they can't release it. 'Umu .

Room 11 Cycle Safety.

 On the 16th of August 2021, Room 11 went cycling. It was our first cycling session because we were busy and forgot on the last few days. Our first time riding the bikes as a class was very fun and funny. We all had a go, we all were laughing, and no one had a problem riding the bike. Here are some photo's from that day...

Olympic Fan zone trip.

 On Monday the Seniors had the opportunity to go on a Trip to the Cloud ! We did different activities with the employees that worked their. We met a Olympian who competed in the Olympics boxing in 2012 and her name was Alexis Pritchard. 

I learnt how to write my name in Chinese, and I had a little experience of the Olympic games. It was really fun communicating with other seniors I hardly play with. A big thank you to the employees and the guest Alexis Pritchard for inviting our school to learn more about the Olympics.

At tech yesterday me and my tech group (Felicia and Sheila) were focusing on Chiselling our wood that we had planed on making a box out of. At first we started planning and designing what we were going to make and why that project. Me and my group all planned on  making a box to put special things in side like our phone, lollies and other special things given to us.

The only person that is nearly done in our whole class is Sheila, Kayla, Tracey, and Leka (Sifa N). In our class it is so fun and quite most of the time, because when ever Mr Grundy looks up he tells us "what happened to the noise"  then we all laugh. *we'll some*

Hard material is so fun and my class can't wait to be done with our final project and take it home with pride. That's all from me hope you've enjoyed !
